Today I found this terrific vintage gospel album by a preacher that lived in DeMossville, Kentucky.

DeMossville is found about 6 or so miles down the road from me. There are only a handful of buildings that make up the village.

The album was recorded in The Mt. Airy (Cincinnati, Ohio) Pentecostal Church. McQueen's daughter, Rose helped out on The Lord Expelled From School. A group who called themselves. The Knight Brothers back up McQueen.

    1. Thank you Rebecca! It would be great to tie this album to you and your family and promote your music. I think, that if you reply and or post a new comment, that you can paste the link to your FaceBook page so that people can find you. I did a search and there are several Rebecca Collins and I'm not positive which one is you. I live just up the road from DeMossville in Ryland. I found a number of neighbors who made record back in the day. It's a lot of fun to share the music. Mark

  4. I am so happy and proud to see my grandpa Cager McQueen's music has made it to the internet. My name is Jennifer McQueen McDaniel I am Cagers oldest granddaughter daughter to oldest son Tom. I loved listening to my papaw's songs and his preaching and miss his preaching. I pray his music blesses all who have the chance to hear it just as he intended. God Bless

  5. Can I just mention that I am REALLY glad this band "Brother McQueen and the Queens" is getting more attention. Sometimes the world takes interest in obscure bands later in life as a curiosity. The big draw is that the album covers resemble a cult leader with his harem of pregnant wives - which was not the case but still makes for a good chuckle. In all seriousness I am glad to have found this page and see that the family is still very proud of their Dad and their music. It is good music in my opinion (the pedal steel is awesome) and I am glad this band are getting some attention 30 years after the fact - even if its not necessarily for all the right reasons.
